In 2005, I was an attorney practicing civil litigation. On the outside, everything looked perfect—a prestigious, high-paying career, my parents were so proud of me, and I owned my own home in Santa Monica. In my 20s!!!

And the craziest thing happened... that pitch landed the brand in the hands of celebrities and in print, transforming their business overnight.
